Art as Experience.

Professor and artist-in-residence Ryann Cooley will lecture on the history and ideas surrounding immersive installation art; some focus will be on the development of this art forms in the 20th century. He will also talk about his own ideological development with immersive installation art—touching on the influences of the “Feel yourself Seeing” piece installed at the Gettys Center. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A and interview time guided by Friday Arts Project Director, Kirk Irwin.

Ryann Cooley is an interdisciplinary artist working in the mediums of photography, video, sculpture and installation. He is also an Associate Professor of Digital Media and Photography at Houghton College in Houghton, NY.
