KRHC | City Council Meeting #2

Join us to show your support.

Attend the Rock Hill City Council Citizens Hearing.* It is imperative that our city leaders know the importance of the arts community to Rock Hill and that their actions have deep implications.

The Gettys Center has provided a place for valuable community services including educational opportunities, small business development, local engagement, placemaking through visual and performing arts access, events that drive revenue to surrounding businesses, space for at-risk youth, and enhancing our city’s appeal. If any of this resonates with you, please attend the City Council Citizen Hearings.

*If you can, It’s best to arrive a few minutes early.

If you aren’t able to attend, you can watch the live stream here.
(The Citizens Hearings are not recorded, so it will only be available LIVE.)

TOM S. GETTYS CENTER – SOLD?

It was our understanding that the Tom S. Gettys Center had been sold. However, this has not been confirmed. What we do know is all artists in the Gettys Center have been told to vacate the building by August 31, 2025.

Friday Arts Project events will continue as planned until then.

ICYMI The City Council of Rock Hill listed the Tom S. Gettys Center for public sale—putting in jeopardy the thriving artist community within the heart of Old Town, Rock Hill, South Carolina which has been present there for almost 40 years.
You can see the commercial real estate listing here.
